Perseverance

When we woke to sunshine and blue skies today it was the perfect excuse to venture out for a walk. Let me introduce you to my favourite tree (everyone has a favourite tree don't they?)...

Isn't this just a remarkable example of nature prevailing? It's huge, it's completely hollow and burnt out, presumably after a lightning strike, but yet it's still standing and even more than that, has sprouted leaves. If the last post was about 'presence', then this one must be 'perseverance'.

Just look at the inside, all blackened charcoal. It so reminds me of Magdalena's work from the previous post too, the blackness, the scale, the textural surface, that you can be inside it.

Love, love, love it!

Back soon,
Laura

  2. Ez battery Reconditioning Course Review Be it a home or an office, a one story commercial space or a large building, having an energy audit done is imperative. You must be proactive and hire an electrician to conduct a thorough inspection of your home or office to know exactly how you are consuming the energy that you are paying for.

  3. Yoga burn dvd Review Most of the time, prospective Yoga teachers have a very strong foundation in Yoga; but sometimes, they originally come from a related-field, such as Martial Arts, Pilates, Dance, Gymnastics, or Fitness. This is fine, but be prepared for a "learning curve" and do not expect to learn all about Yoga in one Yoga teacher training intensive course.

  4. The Language of Desire Review As I shovelled mulch into the wheelbarrow I had four young male students engage me in the finer points of the work. One was Indian, another Caucasian, another African American, and the final boy was Asian. I was captivated more by their unity of friendship than their curiosity for my work, even as I did explain the benefits of mulch for gardens and how to move the product.
